Rosedene Easterside Celebrates Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in all areas!

We are thrilled to announce that Rosedene Easterside has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted in their recent visit to our nursery!

The nursery, located in the heart of the Easterside community in Middlesbrough, received the top grade across categories including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.

This is a tremendous achievement that reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire team. We couldn’t have done it without the leadership of our amazing manager, Gemma, the unwavering commitment of our team, and the enthusiasm of the children they care for every day.

Highlights from the Ofsted Report

We are incredibly proud of the wonderful feedback we received in our Ofsted report. Here are some of our key highlights:

A Wonderful Learning Environment

Ofsted praised our learning environment, noting, “ Staff have created a wonderful learning environment, both inside and in the large outdoor space.”

Building Confidence and a Love of Learning

The report highlighted how our approach helps children develop crucial life skills: “These experiences help children to build on their confidence and to develop a real love of learning.”

Ensuring Safety and Security

Ensuring that children feel safe and secure is our top priority. Ofsted recognised this: "The importance of ensuring children feel safe and secure is evident throughout the nursery.”

Exemplary Behaviour and a Calm Atmosphere

We were delighted to hear that Ofsted noted the positive atmosphere within our nursery: “Children’s behaviour is excellent, and the atmosphere within the nursery is calm and purposeful. Staff treat children with genuine kindness and respect.”

Professional Development for Staff

Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we ensure they are supported and valued. The report acknowledged this: “Staff are valued and given plenty of opportunities to develop professionally.”

Promoting Children’s Health

We take pride in promoting Children’s health and well-being, and this was recognised by Ofsted: “Children’s good health Is promoted effectively. Meals and snacks are well-balanced. Children take pride in growing vegetables in their allotment.”

Strong Community Links

Our nursery is deeply connected to the local community, which was highlighted in the report: “The nursery has established strong links within the local community. Visits to a local care home are identified as being particularly valuable for children who do not have elderly relatives.”

Positive Parental Feedback

We are overjoyed by the positive feedback we received from parents: “Parental feedback is overwhelmingly positive. They value the feedback they receive as they pick up and collect their children, and through the nursery app.”

A Celebration to Remember

To mark this incredible achievement, Rosedene Easterside recently hosted a special celebration, bringing together our team, parents, children and friends from the local care home. It was a day filled with excitement, as they reflected on the work that led to this moment.

You can watch our celebration over on our YouTube Channel, which captures the essence of the day and highlights the key elements of our Outstanding Achievement.
