At Rosedene Nurseries, we believe in the power of community, especially during the festive season. This year, our families, children, and staff came together to collect over 120 Christmas bags filled with more than 600 items for the Teesside at Christmas appeal.
Across our ten nurseries in Teesside and North Yorkshire, we encouraged employees, parents and children to get involved by spreading a little extra holiday cheer to families in need. The Teesside at Christmas campaign, which started as a small initiative on Facebook, has now grown into a fully registered charity, touching the lives of hundreds of local families each year.
At Rosedene Nurseries, we’re an active part of the communities we serve across Teesside and North Yorkshire. With ten nurseries, we’re fortunate to be able to connect with so many families, and we understand the importance of supporting each other, especially during the festive season.
The holidays can be a joyful time, but we know that for some families, it can also be a challenging and stressful period. Whether it’s financial difficulties, isolation, or other struggles, many people face hardships that can make Christmas feel like an extra burden. That’s why we feel it’s so important to give back and help make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
We were so pleased to welcome Mike Fairbrother, the founder and chair of Teesside at Christmas, to Rosedene Hemlington, in Middlesbrough. He met with our team and children to help load the donations into a van, ready to be distributed in time for Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of our Rosedene community, even more families will benefit from the appeal this year.

You can see that they really love being a part of the process. They are giving back to their communities, it's something special for them to be involved in."
