Children with SEND are given the same enriching experiences at Rosedene.

Rosedene’s vision for all children is to provide the most enriching learning opportunities, within a nurturing environment, for our children to be kind, curious and confident, ready to shape the world. Having an inclusive approach is paramount and ensuring that parents are supported well along the pathway is important.

We have a clear SEND strategy, with an experienced SENDcO lead. Our teams specialise in early identification of additional need, early intervention, individual support plans, inclusion support, and family support.

We can apply to our Local Authority for Higher Needs Funding which can be used in a number of ways to support the child in a bespoke way. Rosedene are recognised for our fully-inclusive childcare and commitment to ensuring every SEND child receives the best support plan for their needs.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the graduation photo that was taken of my son. My son has ASD and I thought he'd never wear the outfit as much as I really wanted him to. Not only is he wearing the cap and gown, he's looking happy. " - Rosedene Parent

Rosedene aim to ensure every child with SEND is identified promptly and additional support is sought as needed.

We continually develop and support our Rosedene early years educators in assessing and identifying children with potential SEND needs. We develop our early years educators knowledge and confidence, with relevant training courses to ensure all of our team can meet children’s individual needs.

Our teams are confident in carrying out Local authority referrals and accessing local outreach services for specialist advice. Personalised strategies are shared with parents and implemented in the setting to ensure that children are supported consistently for the best learning outcomes

We work with and support families, to ensure they have fair and equal access to support services, funding and local agencies, to get the early help and targeted and specialist support needed. Our Teams are also experienced in leading and securing EHCP’s (Education, health and Care plans) and securing specialist provision places through local authorities if deemed appropriate by professionals and parents. We also have experience of supporting children access places in mainstream education with tailored support in place.
